Looking for Kid Friendly Restaurants in Rocky Point, try Latitude 31…
This post was originally written on Sunday May 24, 2015, however in the true mañana style of Mexico…it’s only Wednesday….
This morning, we had breakfast at Latitude 31 with Riley. We chose here, and are featuring it, because it is probably the best restaurant in Puerto Peñasco to take toddlers because it has a play area with toys, wide open spaces, and a great kids menu.
It is also one of the few restaurants that offer free Wi-Fi, and a phone to call the US. There is also a computer station if you didn’t bring your own computer. This comes in handy when the Wi-Fi is spotty. For some reason this Memorial holiday weekend the Internet in all of Rocky Point appears to be down. Again, it’s Mexico, and a holiday weekend with family, so if we don’t get to work until mañana, no worries. However, when you want, or need, to combine kid friendly and Internet availability with really good food, this is the spot to be. They also have several big screen TV’s, so we got to see a little of the Indy 500 while we were eating.
We also were able to eat a full meal in peace because Riley was busy playing, eating pancakes, and playing – definitely a win-win situation for parents.
Since it was breakfast, I had the heuvos rancheros, my favorite breakfast ever, that they can never seem get right at any restaurant in the States.
If you go later in the day I recommend having the Mexican shrimp cocktail. Their burgers are great too. In fact, we did go later in the day because Kyle stayed to work and Riley and I came back to get him around lunchtime, so we also scored a delish kids grilled cheese and a cold cerveza!
You can’t miss Latitude 31, it’s right on Benito Juarez on the way to the Old Port; it’s up on a hill, and a bright yellow building with orange trim. They also feature an outside balcony area with views of the Sea of Cortez and the Marina.
